How will you remain sensitive to the voice of God?
by Kathy Patton
Nov. 09, 2012We have started our break from WTW meetings but that should not be a break from God’s word. Over the next 8 or 9 weeks we are apart I hope you have a plan for staying in God’s word. Deziray challenged all of us to think about how we are going to insure our heart remains sensitive to the voice of God.
Genesis has 50 chapters and we have studied 1-36 which leaves us with 14 chapters. Why not make it your goal to read these 14 chapters over the next few weeks and write down 1-3 application questions or thoughts for the chapter. Not only will you be staying in His word but you will be continuing your study of Genesis. I would love to hear from you each week as you come up with them.
I will be praying for you; please continue to pray for me as I get away with my Father and spend time gleaning from His word.
May God be glorified in all our holiday plans for Thanksgiving and Christmas this year.
We are planning a birthday party for Jesus for our family. If the weather is pretty we may do Thanksgiving outside. Our grandchildren love it when we do that.
Please email me any ideas you have that we might use to make memories in our family.
Do not hesitate to invite a friend to join us in January. We will be focusing on the life of Joseph. Even if they have not been with us they will be able to find wonderful treasures for living a life pleasing to God in an upside down world. Joseph’s story is one of a man who suffered jealousy and abuse at the hands of those who should have loved him most. He was mistreated, lied about, wrongly imprisoned, forgotten by those he helped…and elevated by God at just the right time. Believe me your friend will thank you for inviting her to join you in such a life changing study. I am forever grateful to my friend Dorothy who invited me to join her for my first Bible study in 1986. I cannot imagine where I would be today had I not gotten into a serious and personal study of God’s word.
Your sister in Christ,
